Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her role as the character Detective Diane Russell. Her credits include All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney was born the sole child from her mom who was a homemaker as well as a senior executive from the United Auto Workers. Delaney lived most of her life with her four brothers. Though she had a aspiration to become journalist, it was not until the time of her high school days that she began modeling. Following her move away from New York City and gaining experience with commercials at New York did she achieve an aspiring career as court reporters. As a teenager her first appearance as an actress came in the 1980 soap opera All My Children. Delaney is a well-known actress, appearing involved in numerous TV movies, and dramas. Like her career but her personal life hasn't been happy or successful. The talented actress has struggled with alcoholism throughout her life and has been through two failed marriages. Her custody was taken away from her son in the year 2005.
